Dick Named SCAC Player of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Tristan Dick has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week after an outstanding weekend in which he helped the 'Roos go 2-0, the league office has announced.

Dick, a senior wing from Houston, led the 'Roos men's basketball team last weekend to a pair of key SCAC home wins, knocking off Texas Lutheran on Friday, 73-68, and Southwestern on Saturday, 82-70. Dick averaged a steady 18.5 points per game on an impressive 57.1 percent shooting, highlighted by hitting the 1,000 career-point mark in the win over the Pirates. He had 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting and was 62.5 percent (5-of-8) from the charity stripe in the win over the Bulldogs, and then added 17 points on 62.5 percent on 5-of-8 shooting, 100 percent (3-of-3) from beyond the arc and 80 percent (4-of-5) from the charity stripe against Southwestern. In addition, Dick ended his double-digit scoring weekend averaging 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 0.5 blocks per game.
