
Goodman, Lawrence Named to NABC Honors Court
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Austin College men's basketball players Chanston Goodman and Jonathan Lawrence have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches 2021-22 Honors Court for their outstanding performance in the classroom, the organization has announced.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Austin College men's basketball players Chanston Goodman and Jonathan Lawrence have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches 2021-22 Honors Court for their outstanding performance in the classroom, the organization has announced.
Goodman, a senior from Dallas, appeared in 24 games this season as the team's starting point guard, averaging 5.7 points and finishing among the conference leaders with 3.6 assists-per-game. Lawrence, a junior guard from Lucas, played in 17 games for the 'Roos last season and has appeared in 30 games overall in his career. Goodman graduated with a degree in business finance, and Lawrence is currently majoring in political science.
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:
- Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
- Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2021-22 academic year.
- Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
- Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I institution with a NABC member coach.
