The Austin College men's basketball team fell 82-75 to Millsaps on Saturday, in the team's first game at the SAA/SCAC Challenge in Jackson, Mississippi this weekend. The 'Roos are now 0-2 on the year.

Stephen Igbinosa scored 16 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, and Austin Wells knocked down four three pointers on his way to 15 points in his first career start, but it wasn't enough for the 'Roos in the end. Austin College took a 37-36 lead into halftime, and led 54-51 midway through the second half, but Millsaps used a 9-2 run to grab a 60-56 lead. Austin College fought back to tie things at 62 apiece with 6:14 left, but the Majors responded with an 8-1 run to put the game away.

Austin College shot just 33.8% from the field in the loss, while holding the Majors to 37.3% shooting as a team. However, Millsaps out-scored Austin College 39-19 from the free throw line and that proved to be the biggest difference in the game.

Jeremy Swisher chipped in 12 points and Brian Baehl had eight points, nine rebounds, and five assists in the loss.
