'Roo Men Fall at Colorado College

Colorado College used a big run to open up what had been a tight game and Austin College was unable to bounce back, falling to the Tigers 74-64 on Sunday afternoon in Colorado Springs. The 'Roos are now 13-8 overall and 3-8 in SCAC play with the loss.

The 'Roos battled Colorado College to a 36-36 tie at halftime but the Tigers opened the second half with a 17-2 run to take a commanding 53-38 lead with 13:24 left to play. Austin College trimmed the margin to five points four times over the next several minutes, but the Tigers pushed the lead back to double digits at 68-58 with 2:37 to play.

Brian Baehl would score to get the margin down to 70-64 with 43 seconds to play, but Colorado College scored the final four points of the game to hand the 'Roos a 10 point road loss. Baehl finished the game with 23 points, while Cedric Hudson had 13 points and nine rebounds and Austin Freet contributed 12 points and 11 boards. 

The 'Roos shot 46.4% from the field, but hit just 2-of-19 three pointers and 10-of-18 free throws in the loss.
