'Roo Football Falls to SCAC Rival Trinity

The Austin College football team out-gained Trinity 394 yards to 305 yards, but it was not enough as the Tigers scored 13 points in each half while holding the 'Roos without a touchdown, giving Austin College a 26-3 loss. The 'Roos are now 0-4 on the year.

Trinity got on the board less than four minutes into the game with a touchdown, and after a lightning delay the Tigers added another score to make it 13-0 after the point after attempt failed. Andrew Klink drilled a 35 yard field goal to cut it to a 13-3 game, but Trinity would score twice more in the third quarter, including a 55 yard touchdown pass, to put the game away as the 'Roos were unable to get on the board again.

Madison Ross rushed 17 times for 60 yards and Noah Jesko completed 17-of-35 passes for 159 yards with an interception to lead the 'Roos offensively. Gabe McCarthy had a pair of catches for 53 yards and Mitch Trentman added four receptions for 33 yards. Defensively, Brooks Ward made 13 stops and Jake Price had seven tackles and a fumble recovery.

The 'Roos are home next weekend against Southwestern University for Parent and Family Weekend with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m. at Apple Stadium.
