
'Roo Cheer Earns Bid to 2025 NCA Nationals
DALLAS, Texas - The Austin College cheer team had an outstanding weekend on the campus of Southern Methodist University, securing a spot at the 2025 NCA Nationals with the program's first ever Silver Bid. By earning their Silver Bid, the 'Roos will not need to qualify for nationals during the season, and instead are now automatically qualified to compete in Daytona Beach next spring.

By earning their Silver Bid, the 'Roos will not need to qualify for nationals during the season, and instead are now automatically qualified to compete in Daytona Beach next spring.
In all, 27 teams competed across seven divisions at the NCA Cheer Camp, with the 'Roos earning first place in Rally Routine and Crowd Segment in their division. They also received a Spirit Stick and three Superior Ribbons, the highest mark possible. The 'Roos were also finalists in the Crowd Segment Run-Off, which consisted of the winners from all seven divisions.
Rowdy, the 'Roo mascot, also received an All-American Award for participation in the Mascot Camp, Rally Routine, and Crowd Segment competitions.
