Squalls Named SCAC Hitter of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College baseball player Desmond Squalls has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for his outstanding performance this past weekend, the league office has announced.

Squalls, a sophomore outfielder from McKinney, had a huge weekend as the 'Roos took two of three on the road against Schreiner, batting .417 with a .500 on-base percentage and a 1.083 slugging percentage. The team's starting rightfielder had five hits in the series, including a triple and two home runs, and drove in six runs while scoring five. He also had a stolen base and drew two walks while posting a perfect fielding percentage.
