The 'Roos got the bats going early, with Tino Ramirez singling home Isaac Villa and RayShawn Riley and Mason Woodhouse also driving in runs to take a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Schreiner responded back with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning to make it 3-2, but Austin College plated five more in the second to surge ahead 8-2. Ramirez brought home the first run of the inning with a sacrifice bunt, and Villa sprinted home following a throwing error by Schreiner for the second run of the inning.
Riley brought home two more runs with a single, and Easton Clark followed with an RBI double to cap off the big inning. The score remained 8-2 until the sixth, when Ramirez belted an RBI double and Jayden Ayala-Hinojosa brought home another run with a sacrifice fly to make it 10-2. The 'Roos put things away in the seventh, pushing four more runs across as Ayala-Hinojosa brought another run across and Squalls tripled home two more. Riley capped things off with an RBI single to plate Squalls and make it a 14-2 final.
Villa went 3-for-4 with four runs and two stolen bases, Ayala-Hinojosa was 3-for-3, scoring three times and driving in a pair of runs, and Woodhouse was 3-for-5. Riley finished the game 2-for-5 with four RBI as Austin College had 15 hits as a team. Trystan Mallory got the win, going the distance and allowing two runs on six hits with four strikeouts. Nolan Sauceda took the loss for Schreiner, allowing eight runs, seven earned, on six hits in 1.1 innings of action.
