HOUSTON, Texas - The Austin College baseball team finished its 2024 campaign strong, splitting its doubleheader at the University of St. Thomas on Sunday, giving the 'Roos two out of three wins for the weekend and a series victory to end the year. The 'Roos dropped an 11-1 game one decision before rebounding with a 7-5 game two win.

The Celts jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first in game one and never looked back, plating two more runs in the second and then three in each of the third and fourth innings to take an 11-1 lead. Erik Garza had a two-run triple in the first and Alex Trinh added a triple to score two runs in the third as St. Thomas took its big early lead.
