Ceballos Collects National Accolades

SHERMAN, Texas - SCAC Pitcher-of-the-Week, sophomore right-hander Jonas Ceballos of Austin College, collected national honors this week from D3Baseball.com and National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association, it was announced Wednesday.

Ceballos was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week for week four of the 2024 season and selected as the Honorable Mention National Pitcher-of-the-Week by the NCBWA. Last week, Ceballos threw a complete game, seven-inning shutout against Blackburn College. He struck out 13 batters and scattered three hits, two of which came in the final inning of the 4-0 victory.

Ceballos is the fourth different student athlete to earn recognition from D3Baseball.com, and is the first Austin College athlete to earn D3Baseball.com Team of the Week honors since Brett Taff was selected to the team in April 2018.
