This Week in Kangaroo Athletics

It's a full weekend of Austin College athletics, with baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis in action on the road while the 'Roo cheer team prepares for their trip to NCA Nationals next week with a pair of showcase events.

The 'Roo cheer team has its first showcase tonight in Hughey Gym, with the team set to perform at 7:30 p.m., and on Saturday they'll have their final warmup for their trip to Daytona Beach, Florida, as they head to Dallas for another showcase at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Highlands High School.

The men's and women's tennis teams are headed out on the road for matches on Friday and Sunday, starting with a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest in Kerrville on Friday evening at Schreiner University. That match is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m., and then the 'Roos will be heading to San Antonio for a Sunday match against Our Lady of the Lake University at 4:00 p.m.

The 'Roo baseball team hits the road to Abilene this weekend for a conference series starting on Friday, as Austin College takes on McMurry University for a single game at 7:00 p.m. before wrapping up the three-game set on Saturday with a doubleheader against the War Hawks scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

The Austin College softball team travels east this weekend to Shreveport for a conference series of its own, taking on Centenary College in a trio of games on Saturday and Sunday. First up is a doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon, before the two teams will square off for a single game at noon on Sunday.
