
Brinkley Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo softball player Reagan Brinkley.
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo softball player Reagan Brinkley.
Brinkley, a freshman shortstop from Valley View, has made a big impact on the 'Roo softball team in her first season of collegiate competition, leading the team with a .356 batting average and 17 runs batted in heading into this week's road series at Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe McMurry University. Brinkley's numbers have gotten even better against conference competition, where she's batting .429 in 15 conference games so far this year. For the year, she has four doubles, two triples, and boasts an on-base percentage of .406 with a .492 slugging percentage.
