This Week in Kangaroo Athletics

The winter sports season is officially over, but Austin College spring sports are in full-swing this weekend with softball, baseball, women's water polo, and men's and women's tennis all in action both at home and on the road.

It's an especially busy weekend in Sherman, starting with a home game for the 'Roo softball team on Friday evening against Southwestern. That game will be played at 7:00 p.m. at Sherman High, and the 'Roos and Pirates will wrap up their SCAC series on Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at noon, with those games also to be played at Sherman High.

The men's and women's tennis teams are home this weekend as well, starting with a 10:00 a.m. match on Saturday morning against Texas Lutheran, and they'll return to the courts on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., hosting the University of St. Thomas in another conference showdown.

The 'Roo baseball team is also in town this weekend, as Austin College hosts the University of Dallas for a trio of SCAC games beginning with a doubleheader at noon on Saturday, and the 'Roos and Crusaders will finish things up with a single game at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Baker Field. 

The Austin College women's water polo team will be the lone spring sport on the road this weekend, as they travel to California to take on Redlands and Whittier on Friday at 11:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. PST, and they'll return to the pool on Saturday to face off against Cal Lutheran at 11:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. PST to cap off the weekend.
