Fowler Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo softball player Tori Fowler.

Fowler, a sophomore from Red Oak, stole eight bases in Austin College's SCAC sweep of the University of Dallas over the weekend while also batting .444 in three games. With her eight stolen bases, Fowler has now established a new Austin College softball program single-season record with 25 steals so far this year. That number currently ranks her fifth in the SCAC, and she's also batting .350 with 10 runs-batted-in and 28 runs scored in her first seasn with the 'Roos.

Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
