
Traylor Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's basketball player Lauren Traylor.
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's basketball player Lauren Traylor.
Traylor, a senior forward from Fort Collins, Colo., has gotten her final year in Sherman off to a strong start, putting up career-best numbers through the team's first eight games. Traylor is currently posting averages of 8.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.0 blocks-per-game, all highs in her four year career. Her rebounding and assist averages are among the best in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, ranking her fourth on the glass and sixth in assists. She also ranks second in the conference in free throw percentage, hitting a career-best 90.3% on the season.
