SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo men's swimmer JonAustin Blaine.

Blaine, a freshman from The Colony, had an outstanding weekend as the 'Roos traveled to Shreveport to take on Centenary on Saturday. Blaine was a part of four first place finishes for the 'Roos, including three individual wins as Austin College topped the Gents in the meet. Blaine opened the meet as part of the team's 200 medley relay team that took first, and then added additional first place finishes in the 50 backstroke, the 100 backstroke, and the 50 butterfly.
