SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's swimmer Becca Tobias.

Tobias, a senior from Pflugerville, has had an outstanding 2022-23 campaign for Austin College, consistently ranking as one of the team's top competitors. Last weekend at the Austin College Invitational, Tobias celebrated her Senior Day with a top four finish in the 100 butterfly and was part of the Austin College 200 medley relay team that came in second with a time of 2:00.06, finishing behind only NCAA Division II opponent UT-Permian Basin. In addition to her strong performances in the pool, Tobias has also served as a member of Austin College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and at last year's Honors Convocation earned the P. S. Wharton Memorial Fellowship as Austin College's Outstanding Student in Chemistry.
