Hutton Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's soccer player Brittany Hutton.

Hutton, a junior from Trophy Club, had a career weekend as the 'Roos went 1-1 and picked up their first victory of the season last weekend. Hutton tallied the first three goals of her career in home games against Centenary and St. Thomas, including scoring twice in a 2-0 win against the Ladies on Friday night in the first ever soccer game to be played at Jerry Apple Stadium. Hutton started all 17 games for Austin College this season, and her three goals ended up leading the team for the 2022 campaign. In her career, she's appeared in 40 games, including 29 starts, and also has two career assists to go with her three goals from this past weekend.

Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
