Gwin Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's basketball player Sarah Gwin.

Gwin, a senior from San Antonio, was honored as this week's SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts both as one of Austin College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee leaders, as well as the work she is doing this semester to help her fellow athletes find their identities at the conclusion of their playing careers. Along with former women's basketball player Madison Bradley and current football player Tyler Hanes, Gwin is organizing a panel featuring former 'Roo student-athletes in an effort to educate her fellow 'Roos on how to move forward once they've played their final games in cardinal and gold.
