Dygert Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo football player Brady Dygert.

Dygert, a sophomore linebacker from Magnolia, is among the American Southwest Conference leaders in tackles this season, entering this weekend's game against East Texas Baptist ranked fourth with 49 total tackles. Dygert has had at least six tackles in every game this year, including nine in the team's most recent game against McMurry. Seven of those nine tackles for Dygert were solo stops, and he's also added 1.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles-for-loss this year. Dygert also has two fumble recoveries and two pass breakups so far this season.

Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
