Lane Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's soccer player Kenedie Lane.

Lane, a sophomore goalkeeper from Frisco, has had a strong season in goal for the 'Roos, ranking among the top five in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in both saves and save percentage. Lane enters this weekend's road matches at Trinity and Schreiner with a .817 save percentage, good for fifth in the conference, and she's second in the conference with 58 saves in six matches - an average of 9.7 saves-per-game. Lane had a season-best 15 saves earlier this season against Texas Lutheran.

Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
