SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's tennis player Gigi Francis.

Francis, a junior from Austin, has been outstanding for the 'Roos all season playing flight one singles as well as number one doubles. Earlier this year, Francis earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Singles Player of the Week honors, and this past Sunday she earned a pair of wins in both singles and doubles as the 'Roos hosted East Texas Baptist. Francis teamed with Kylie Imperial for an 8-3 win at number one doubles, and won 6-4, 6-4 playing line one singles.
