SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo men's water polo player Robert Griffin.

Griffin, a senior from Seabrook, was one of the most efficient and productive players at the 2021 MPSF Championships hosted by Stanford University to cap the season. The 'Roos went 2-1 at the championships, finishing fifth, with a pair of big wins over Penn State Behrend. Griffin scored five times for Austin College in the team's first match of the weekend against PSB, and he added six goals in the team's win over the Lions to wrap up the weekend.
