Walstad Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo football player Max Walstad.

Walstad, a sophomore defensive lineman from Highland Village, lived in the backfield in Austin College's home finale against No. 8-ranked Hardin-Simmons University. Walstad had a career-best six tackles, including 5.5 tackles-for-loss for a total of 19 yards. Walstad now has 22.0 tackles in all this season, with 9.0 of those coming behind the line of scrimmage. For his career, he now has 12.0 tackles-for-loss in just 12 games played.
