Talley Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo volleyball player Brooklyn Talley.

Talley, a senior setter from Commerce, reached two career milestones recently when she surpassed 2,000 assists and 1,000 digs in her four years at Austin College. This season Talley leads the 'Roos and ranks among the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference leaders in both total assists and assists-per-set, and last week had at least 20 assists in four of the team's five matches, including a high of 30 assists in a win over Schreiner. Talley is also a member of Austin College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
