SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo volleyball player Victoria Smith.

Smith, a sophomore from Carrollton, had a huge opening week of the 2021 season as she helped the 'Roos start the year 5-0. Smith led the 'Roos with 2.81 kills-per-set and boasted a .293 hitting percentage, while also adding 0.81 blocks-per-set in the team's five matches. She reached double figures in kills twice, including 13 in the season opening 3-0 victory over Paul Quinn and 10 in another three-set sweep of Rhodes. Smith did not have more than three attacking errors in any of the team's five matches last week, and also added eight digs.
