SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's water polo player Madison Taylor.

Taylor, a junior from Copper Canyon, helped lead the 'Roos to a dominant championship performance at the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Tournament last weekend, giving Austin College it's first such title since becoming a varsity program in 2019. Taylor was named the Player of the Tournament for her efforts, which included scoring three goals in the team's decisive 20-6 win in the championship game against Wittenberg. Following her Tournament MVP performance, Taylor was also named the CWPA Division III Offensive Player of the Week.
