SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo men's soccer player Diego Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, a sophomore midfielder from Phoenix, Ariz., was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Male Character and Community Award winner for this week in recognition of his outstanding service in the community dating back to his time in high school. Rodriguez has been active as part of the Austin College community in numerous service projects, particularly through the Gamma Gamma Gamma fraternity, in addition to being a two-year starter for the 'Roo men's soccer team.
