Wade Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo men's water polo player Max Wade.

Wade, a freshman attacker from Flower Mound, was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Newcomer of the Week for the third time this season after leading the 'Roos to a pair of victories over Ottawa (Ariz.) and Penn State-Behrend. Wade tallied 10 goals in the two wins in Hannah Natatorium, bringing his total this season to 53 goals in 20 games, which is the new program record for goals in a season. So far this season, Wade is the only MPSF player to earn Newcomer of the Week three times.

Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
