Talley Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighing our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo volleyball player Brooklyn Talley.

Talley, a sophomore setter from Commerce, reached a milestone recently when she surpassed 1,000 career assists in under two seasons of competition. The two-year starter has appeared in 53 matches so far in her career, driving that assist number up to 1,086 as the 'Roos head into this weekend's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches. Talley has also been strong defensively for the 'Roos in her career, notching more than 500 digs in her career. This season, she leads the 'Roos with 5.45 assists-per-set and is third on the team with an average of 2.75 digs-per-set. She also has 20 service aces this season, also good for third on the team.
