Ethan Pearce - Basketball

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo men's basketball player Ethan Pearce.

Pearce, a senior forward from Meridian, Idaho, has gotten his final season in Sherman off to a tremendous start and established himself as one of the top defensive players in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, ranking near the top of the conference leaderboard in blocked shots, steals, and rebounds. The senior recently posted back-to-back double-doubles, with 24 points and 12 rebounds on the road at Millsaps and 20 points and 10 boards against Belhaven. Pearce has also had at least three steals in all but one game so far this season, and also had three blocked shots in the win over Belhaven.
