Trey Salyer - Tennis

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo men's tennis player Trey Salyer.

Salyer, a senior from Frisco, earned a victory on line one last weekend as the 'Roos took on Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent St. Thomas at the Russell Tennis Center. Salyer won in straight sets in the match against the top singles player for the Celts, winning 6-3, 6-2. Salyer is also a standout student, having been recognized as a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll, and last year was honored as a SCAC Character & Community recipient.
