Joslyn Dimitri - Water Polo

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's water polo player Joslyn Dimitri.

Dimitri, a junior from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, had an outstanding weekend for Austin College as the 'Roos went 2-1 in their weekend trip to California, where they fell to No. 3-ranked Cal Lutheran before defeating Caltech and No. 9-ranked La Verne. Dimitri scored 15 goals over the course of the weekend, while adding seven steals, five assists, and seven drawn ejections. Dimitri scored five goals in the team's 13-11 win over Caltech, and she added six tallies to once again lead the team in the 21-14 win over La Verne. She finished that game with eight total points, with three of her steals and five of her drawn exclusions coming in the win. In addition to being a standout on the 'Roo water polo team, Dimitri is also an All-Conference performer for the Austin College swim program.
