IRVING, Texas -- Coming off a rough showing in Brownwood on Saturday of Nov.30, Dallas needed to respond and the Crusaders got it in a pivotal 65-62 victory on Friday against Austin College. This revived rivalry did not dissapoint and the energy was palpable throughout.
The Crusaders bag their first SCAC win and hold a conference record of 1-0 and are now 5-2 on the season.
The Crusaders dominated the first half sparked by a high flying Terrence Bryant, who finished with 16, and got comfortable heading into the second. Dallas' offense became stagnant despite shooting 42.9% beyond the arc in the second half and the 'Roos battled back. Chandler Holmes was able to ice the game at the line putting Dallas up 4 with under 15 seconds to play.
