Dyoub Records Double-Double in Sweep Over Austin College

SHERMAN, Texas - The University of Dalls women's volleyball program concluded their jam-packed weekend with a pair of games today.  They fell to Southwestern university 3-0, and swept Austin College 3-0 to improve to 8-14 on the year.

The Crusaders put up a tough fight against Southwestern, but the Pirates, who are now 19-1 on the year, showed why they are ranked #16 in the nation.  They were safely in control for much of the match, winning sets one and three by double digits.  The Crusaders found their groove in the second set and hung with the Pirates point for point, notching 13 kills on four errors, but the Pirates would take the set 25-22 en route to a sweep.

As was the case in their previous meeting this season, it was a tight contest between the Crusaders and the Roos.  The Crusaders recorded 44 kills, their second most in a three set match all season, and they would need every single one of them as each set was decided by four points or less.  Cassie Dyoub put the team on her back with a season best performance, leading the team with 20 kills and 21.5 points, and second on the team with 11 digs for her third double-double of the year.  The Crusaders were able to record the sweep over Austin College as a result.
