Late buckets from Zack Golaszewski helped the Celts come back from down 12 to beat the Roos with seconds remaining. The Celts continued to fight and were able to snatch the win from the Roos 67-62.

St. Thomas started the game red hot as they started it on an 11-0 run including five straight from Nick Anderson as Austin College were forced to call an early timeout to cool down the Celts. Early foul trouble from the Celts was just what the Roos needed to get going as they would slowly climb their way back into the game as they would make it 23-25 with just a couple of minutes left in the first half. Austin College would end the half on a 16-5 run to go up 35-30.

Coming out into the second half the Roos would extend their lead to 12 making it a 44-32 game early into the half. The Celts would begin to fight back but the Roos would not make it easy as they would exchange baskets.  Back-to-back shots from Ricky Altamirano made the lead drop to six as the Celt would bear down on defense, lock up the Roos, and begin their comeback.  As time winded down Zack Golaszewski would take over as he would make 13 of the Celts final 19 points to snatch the game from Austin College and lead the Celts to a 67-62 victory.

Offensively, Golaszewski dropped 20 points on the Roos. Two more Celts were in double figures: Nick Anderson had 11 and Freddie Ricks III had 10. Andrew Adebo also notched eight rebounds while Ricks also stole three balls.
