Austin College Volleyball Drops Pair

FOREST GROVE, Ore. - The Austin College volleyball team wrapped up its weekend trip to Oregon on Saturday with a pair of defeats, falling 3-0 to Willamette and 3-1 to Pacific. With those defeats, the 'Roos are now 5-5 overall on the season.

Austin College fell to Willamette by scores of 25-20, 26-24, 25-16 to open up the day's action. Austin College hit just .079 as a team in the loss, totaling 20 attacking errors in three sets. Olivia Linton led the 'Roos with seven kills while Riley Abernethy and Victoria Smith each chipped in five. Brianne Tseng had a team-best 12 assists, and Madison Manning added 11. Tseng also had nine digs, while Abernethy paced the 'Roos with 10 digs in defeat. 

Against Pacific, the 'Roos dropped the opening set 25-11 before bouncing back with a 25-22 set two win, but the host school responded with wins of 25-22 and 25-17 to wrap up the match and hand the 'Roos the loss. TJ Folse led the 'Roos with nine kills, while Cheyenne Dantonio added seven. Tatum Torres had 23 digs to lead the 'Roos defensively, and Chloe Miller added 15. Manning had a team-best 15 assists, while Tseng chipped in 10 in the match.
