LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Austin College volleyball player Rebekah Bowden has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Co-Player of the Week, the league office has announced.

Bowden, a senior middle blocker from Flint, reached a milestone last week when she recorded her 500^th career total block and averaged 1.5 blocks-per-set in the three matches in which she appeared. That included a performance of seven total blocks in a Senior Night victory over Arlington Baptist, which included three solo blocks. This is the second time this season Bowden has earned this award.

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Association.
