Women's Tennis Falls to Colorado Mesa

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Austin College women's tennis team dropped a neutral site match against Colorado Mesa on Saturday, falling 7-0 to bring the team's record to 3-6 overall on the year.

The 'Roos fell in their three doubles matches with Phoebe Shapard and Gigi Francis battling but coming up short with a 6-4 flight one loss while Megan Morris and Sierra Thomas and Madelin Hiler and Elena Aventa each lost 6-0 and flights two and three, respectively. Francis dropped a 4-6, 1-6 match on line one, and Shapard fell 2-6, 1-6 at line two.

Hiler dropped a 0-6, 0-6 decision at line three, and Morris fell 0-6, 1-6 playing on the fourth line. Thomas and Aventa dropped lines five and six, with Thomas falling 1-6, 1-6 and Aventa falling 0-6, 0-6.
