KERRVILLE, TX – The Austin College Women's Tennis Team's first conference victory eluded them once again, this time against the Schreiner University Mountaineers.

                  Schreiner came out strong in doubles competition, taking Lines 1 and 2 8-3, while a closely contested 3^rd doubles court finished 8-5.

                  Kate Willis made her return to the singles lineup and found a victory in the most grueling of ways; 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5).  Her determination to make her opponent work for every point and continually make tennis balls laid the groundwork for her explosive transition and volley game.

                  Once again, AC was able to prevent the shutout with their determination to stay in every match.  But AC will see a familiar foe in their next match, home against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor; a rematch from the evening thriller earlier this month.  That match begins Friday, April 10^th, at 1:00pm.
