Davis, Lane, Watson Earn CSC Academic All-District Recognition

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College women's soccer players Sarah Davis, Kenedie Lane, and Emeri Watson have been selected as Academic All-District picks for their outstanding performances both athletically and academically.

The 2023 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Davis a senior defender from Frisco, started all 16 games for Austin College in 2023 and served as a team captain. She earned her Academic All-District recognition thanks to posting a 3.97 grade-point-average with a dual major in business administration and psychology.

Lane, a junior goalkeeper from Frisco, was a second team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference pick following the 2023 campaign. She was named Academic All-District on the strength of a 3.89 grade-point-average with a major in biology.

Watson, a sophomore forward from Paris, was an honorable mention All-SCAC performer this season, and was named Academic All-District thanks to her 3.96 grade-point-average, with a major in business finance.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Women's Soccer Academic All-America honorees will be announced December 20. 

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
