Traylor Named SCAC Player of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College women's basketball player Lauren Traylor has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in guiding the 'Roos to a 2-0 weekend, the league office has announced.

Traylor, a senior forward from Fort Collins, Colo., had a big all-around weekend for Austin College as the 'Roos picked up two crucial SCAC wins, averaging 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals-per-game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 85.7 percent from the free throw line. She scored a career-high 19 points in a road win at Centenary, and followed with a 10-point, 12 rebound double-double in a big win at St. Thomas. Traylor's efforts lifted the 'Roos to back-to-back wins for the first time since February 2022.

Traylor currently ranks second in the SCAC with an average of 7.6 rebounds-per-game, and is fifth in the league in free throw percentage at at 80% from the line. In addition to scoring 9.2 points-per-game on the year, she also ranks in the top 10 in the league and leads the 'Roos in assists with an average of 2.6 per-game.
