'Roos Rise to No. 20 in WBCA Poll, Hold at No. 24 in D3Hoops

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College women's basketball team rose one spot to No. 20 in this week's WBCA Top 25 rankings, while holding at No. 24 for the second consecutive week in the D3Hoops.com national poll after going 2-0 against the University of Dallas last week.

The 'Roos have now been ranked in four consecutive weeks in both polls, and head into this weekend's home games against Colorado College and Johnson & Wales with a record of 15-2. The 'Roos have won three in a row after dropping a pair of games earlier this month. Austin College is one of two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference teams ranked, as Trinity rose to No. 11 in this week's D3Hoops.com poll and No. 13 in the WBCA rankings. Mary Hardin-Baylor, who the 'Roos defeated in December, is No. 13 in the D3Hoops.com poll and No. 16 in the WBCA Top 25.

Austin College squares off against Colorado College at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Johnson & Wales at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday in Hughey Gym. The 'Roos defeated both teams on the road earlier this season, topping the Tigers 77-69 and the Wildcats 88-57. Austin College is 8-2 in conference play, while Colorado College is 11-7 overall and 7-4 in the SCAC and JWU is 3-13 overall with a 3-8 record in conference play.
