'Roos Run Well at HSU Invitational

ABILENE, Texas - The Austin College distance track team got some strong performances on Saturday as the 'Roos opened their 2021 campaign at the Hardin-Simmons Invitational.

Aimee Landers-Wilburn placed ninth in the 1500 meter run, coming in with a time of 5:17.15, while Johnny Biffar and Chris Biffar paced the men in the same event. Johnny Biffar finished fifth with a time of 4:12.34, and Chris Biffar finished with a time of 4:22.74, good for 14th place in the run. Christan Tomy finished 16th in the same race, while Gabe Graf was 18th. Tomy finished with a time of 4:24.01, and Graf crossed with a time of 4:27.47.

Andrew Thomas finished 27th in the 1500 with a time of 4:37.56, and Andrew Cutting was 36th with a time of 4:58.21. Burhan Biviji rounded out the Austin College finishers with a time of 5:34.61.

Landers-Wilburn added a strong performance in the 800 meter run, crossing the finish line with a time of 2:36.83, good for 11th place. Johnny Biffar took 10th in the 800 on the men's side, coming in with a time of 2:06.05, and Graf was 15th with a time of 2:09.12. Chris Biffar added an 18th place finish with a time of 2:10.24, and Tomy was 21st with a time of 2:11.64. Thomas added a 23rd place finish with a time of 2:16.51, and Cutting was 31st with a time of 2:27.13.
