Men's Cross Country Ready for South/Southeast Regional

SHERMAN, Texas - After a program-record third place team finish at the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Meet, the Austin College men's cross country team is headed to Memphis this weekend to compete in the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional Championship Meet hosted by Rhodes College.

Head coach Bryan Garcia's team will run the 8K race on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m., paced by All-SCAC performer RJ Navarro. Navarro finished 10th at the SCAC Championships and took first place overall in four of the team's five regular season competitions. He'll be joined by Andrew Thomas and Johnny Biffar, who each finished in the top 20 at the conference championships, as well as Chris Biffar and Charlie McIntyre, who were top 30 finishers at the SCAC meet. Each of the team's five runners has set personal bests throughout the season and will be looking to make noise on Saturday morning as they race against the top teams and individual runners in the region.

More information about this week's regional can be found on the official South/Southeast Regional website.
