Men's Tennis Drops Road Match at LeTourneau

LONGVIEW, Texas - The Austin College men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision on the road at LeTourneau University on Saturday, bringing the team's record to 3-4 overall on the year.

LeTourneau swept doubles competition, with the team of Brett O'Brien and Preston Spivey falling 8-3 at flight one while Tate Nelson and Joseph Carrillo lost an 8-2 match at number two and William Dixon and Storm Simonin fell 8-1 at flight three. 

Spivey battled to a 6-7, 6-2, 12-10 victory at line two singles to give Austin College their lone point of the match, while O'Brien dropped his line one match 5-7, 1-6. Carrillo fell by scores of 4-6, 1-6 at line three, and Nelson dropped his line four match 2-6, 1-6. Matthew Cochran lost a 4-6, 1-6 decision at line five, while Simonin went down by scores of 3-6, 2-6.
