Men’s Tennis Falls 7-2 to #35 Cal Tech

SHERMAN, Tex. - The Austin College Men's Tennis Team hosted the 35th-ranked Cal Tech Beavers and jumped all over their opponents to start doubles competition.

AC took Lines 2 and 3 to go up 2-0 with Siddharth Kortikere/Andres Padilla and Calum Robe/Preston Spivey playing some of the best doubles of the season.  Both teams won 8-3 and put their opponents in a deep hole with Josh Granberry/Kenneth Hardy battling back into the match up 7-6.

Granberry/Hardy were unable to close, and the momentum belonged to Cal Tech for the remainder of the match.  Meendsen and Robe forced two competitive matches at Lines 6 & 5 respectively, but were unable to take a set as Cal Tech won 7-2 and departed for Palo Alto.
