Men's Tennis Falls 0-9 to #26 UT-Tyler

TYLER, Tex. - The Austin College Men's Tennis Team was bested 9-0 by the #26 Patriots of the University of Texas at Tyler on the road.

Doubles went quickly for the Patriots as the Kangaroos claimed only 3 games across three courts, but singles was another story.

Kenneth Hardy played some of his best tennis of the year in the first set against #11 Fagundes of UTT, but fell 6-3, 6-0 against the tough senior.

Josh Granberry also registered a competitive score against #38 Hadlich at Line 2; even leading 3-1 in the second set over the 2017 ITA Singles Finalist.  Granberry would fall 6-4, 6-3 to clinch the match for the Patriots.

Lines 3, 4, and 6 were all close contests with each first set going in favor of UT-Tyler 7-5.  Austin College returns to the courts later today to face LeTourneau University at 4:00PM in Longview, TX.
