GARLAND, Texas - The Austin College men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished sixth and fifth, respectively, in the standings at the 2023 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Meet, and Liberty Chanin and Sammi Thiele each added All-SCAC performances on Saturday evening.

Chanin got things started with a second place finish in the 1650 free, giving her a second All-SCAC swim of the week. The senior came in with a time of 18:03.10 in the event. Thiele picked up her third All-Conference finish of the week in the 200 breaststroke, finishing with a time of 2:22.73. Becca Tobias added a seventh place finish in the 200 butterfly, touching with a time of 2:25.42 in the event. 

David Stanford added a 12th place finish in the 200 butterfly on the men's side, coming in with a time of 2:22.06, while the women's team of Thiele, Chanin, Lauren Olivier, and Cassidee Levine were fourth in the women's 400 free relay with a time of 3:43.70.
