Men's Swimming Falls to Centenary and McMurry

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's swimming and diving team had some strong finishes but came up short against Centenary and McMurry on Saturday in Hannah Natatorium. The 'Roos fell 178-40 to McMurry and 134-65 to Centenary.

Sean Cookson gave the 'Roos a first place finish early in the meet with a victory in the 1650 freestyle, coming in with a time of 18:49.89, and he added a second place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.57. Ben Rafalski added a fourth place finish in the 100 butterfly, touching with a time of 59.08 and also had a second place finish in the 400 individual medley with a time of 5:04.47. 

The team of Ethan Miles, Juaquin Gonzalez, Rafalski, and Cookson also gave the 'Roos a third place finish in the 200 medley relay, coming in with a time of 1:48.91. Gonzalez also added a fourth place finish in the 1650 free and Miles was second in the 200 backstroke, finishing that race with a time of 2:18.10.
