SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team had multiple strong scoring chances early but were unable to capitalize and No. 17-ranked Colorado College picked up a pair of first half goals and added one more in the second to hand the 'Roos a 3-0 defeat on Friday evening at Apple Stadium. The 'Roos finish the year with a 7-8-1 overall record.

The 'Roos had an opportunity to take an early lead after drawing a penalty kick, but Louis Catchpole's effort was saved by Colorado College keeper Jasper Broad, and Broad was able to recover in time to also save Catchpole's point-blank header on the rebound to keep things scoreless. The Tigers earned a PK chance of their own not long after, but this time it was Austin College's Everardo Garza who denied Alexander Ward's attempt in the 23rd minute of play.

However, Colorado College would tally not long after, as Ward put one in the back of the net in the 26th minute to make it 1-0. Wyatt Linggi made it a 2-0 game just over 10 minutes later, and that's how things would stand heading into the break. The Tigers would tack on their third and final goal early in the second half, as Connor Webster put one past Garza in the 57th minute and Austin College was unable to mount a comeback down the stretch. Colorado College finished the game with a 29-7 shot advantage, with Garza making eight saves while Broad stopped all three shots he faced for the Tigers.
