SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2006 with a 1-0 victory over the visiting University of the Ozarks on Friday evening, as Louis Catchpole found the back of the net for the fifth time this season to boost the 'Roos to victory.

It was a mostly a defensive battle between the two teams throughout, with Ozarks limiting Austin College to eight shots in the match while the Eagles managed 18 but only put seven of those on target. Everardo Garza stopped all seven shots he faced, including a crucial save on a penalty kick in the opening half, to earn the first clean sheet of his Austin College career.

Catchpole continued his scorching hot start to the year with Austin College's lone goal of the game, finishing off of assists from Sam Spencer and Pierce Wear in the 7th minute of action to put the 'Roos on top. The Eagles would draw a penalty kick opportunity in the 41st minute, but Garza guessed correctly and made the stop to keep Ozarks off the board and preserve the one goal margin, and that's how things would stand as the 'Roos clamped down even more in the second half to hold on for their third victory in as many matches.

Austin College will be back in action at home on Sunday, as they host Hendrix College at noon.
